Caribbean Stud Poker - Winning Poker Hands |
Okay superheroes, take off the cape and step out of your fancy ride, it is time to learn a real super skill, poker. The focus today is what it takes to achieve winning poker hands in Caribbean stud poker.
In Caribbean stud poker, play starts when each player makes an ante bet in the designated square. When that is done, each player is dealt five face down cards. Each player may look at his own cards, but may not examine those of another or share any information. In Caribbean stud poker, the dealer also gets five cards, four face down and one face up.

At this stage of Caribbean poker, each player has two choices: raise or fold. Should the player decide to raise, he places twice his bet in the ante box. The player should be fairly sure he is close to a winning poker hand before he does this. If the player folds, he must give up his cards and the dealer collects his ante bet.
When all the players have made their plays, it is time for the dealer to expose his cards. If the dealer does not qualify with at least one ace and king, all remaining ante bets pay out even money and all the raised bets push. Should the dealer qualify, then Caribbean poker rules dictate that each remaining player compare his cards to the dealer's hand. The online casino hand is the winning poker hand in each case. Should the dealer have a more valuable hand, the player forfeits both the ante and the raise. If the hands are a tie, then both the ante and the raise push. If the player's hand wins, the ante pays out even money and the raise pays up. Test your skill and play free casinos poker here.
